Holiday Sips

Holiday season is party season!

From the decorations to the treats and baked goods, we all know there’s so much to love about the holidays and as a host you always want to throw a memorable, festive bash and one of those ways is with fancy cocktails.

Here I will show you the most luxe cocktail recipes for all of your upcoming holiday parties. Whether you prefer to sip a pomegranate-infused concoction or favor hints of candy canes in your glass, these easy-to-follow recipes will charm all of your guests while getting them into the spirit of the season. Consider yourself a step ahead.

Snowflakes and cinnamon-stick stirrers optional — but encouraged!

Candy Cane Cocktail

1 shot Vanilla Rum
1 shot White Chocolate liqueur (I used Godiva)
1 shot Pepper Mint Schnapps
Candy Canes (for garnish)

Directions: Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker, filled with ice. Shake well and strain into martini glass. Garnish. Enjoy!

White Chocolate Snowflake Martini
2 oz. Vanilla Vodka

2 oz. Godiva White Chocolate liqueur
1 oz. White Crème de Cacao
1 oz. Half & half
Lemon wedge
Sanding sugar (optional)

Directions: Rub lemon wedge along the rim of the glass and coat evenly with sanding sugar. Add all ingredients to the cocktail shaker, filled with ice. Shake well and strain into martini glass. Serve immediately and toast to the good life!

Blackberry Sparkler

1 cup fresh blackberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
4 sprigs fresh rosemary
1 bottle champagne

Directions: In a small saucepan, combine blackberries, sugar and water.  Bring to a boil on high heat, then simmer and let cook for 12-15 minutes.  The blackberries will become soft and bright in color and a pinkish purple syrup will form.  Remove from heat. Drain, keeping the syrup in a separate bowl.  Set both aside and allow to cool. Once blackberries and simple syrup are cooled, spoon about 4 tablespoons of syrup into the bottom of each champagne flute. Top with champagne. Garnish with fresh blackberries or the cooked blackberries and a spring of rosemary!

And just like that, three holiday drinks that are sure to please. Do you have any holiday drinks and recipes to share – because the more the merrier, right?
